The three of us together made rough ideas about how our digipak would look like and I made these rough drafts for our Digipak :
A Digipak is the packaging often used for CD singles or special editions of CD albums. They usually consist of a book-style paper-board or cardboard binding. They part where the CD is placed is plastic while others may have a pocket sized CD that holds the disc. It also serves as a promotion package and engages the reader. The packaging is less resistant to abrasion than jewel cases so it tends to show signs of wear relatively quickly. The front cover of cover has the Picture of Artist,Name of album and the name of the artist. The Inlay has the images of artist and any additional text. The back of the cover has Track listing, website, information about the producer, copyrights and bar code. Before producing my Digipak, I went through some research to find out the sizes and dimensions for making one. I found out that each panel of standard Digipak is measured 5''x5', so for a Digipak with two panels,it will mesaure 11'' x 5''. Overall it will make up to 16.5'' x 5''. The resolution I'll make for my Digipak will be 150. The outer packaging is made of card/paper and the inner packaging is made of plastic. Digipaks come in all different styles and designs. They vary in artwork , number of panels and types of fold. Here are some examples of a Digipak: |
